Excellent reaction Dasha! Did you really not have subtitles when they spoke French and Latin? What service are you using to watch? There’s actually a lot of plot points and details when they were speaking French. It’s a shame if you didn’t have subtitles. Although you didn’t seem to have any problem following the story without them. I do think it would have enhanced your experience though. Oh well. I’m glad you enjoyed the movie. There are two more sequels after this. I think they’re worth watching.

Yeah she seemed to not get lost, it just a little itty bitty frustrating seeing her invested and miss amazing details and seeing her ask what they are saying when there is a 99% chance there subtitles option at her finger tips. I don't think anybody would take offence if she had to pause to turn them on needing us to resync, which is also probebly what was going through her mind. Either way, fun reaction. Just a nit pick🙂

This adventure/puzzle-solving theme reminds me of The Goonies. In it, there is a search for a treasure where you follow maps and solve puzzles. It is rumoured to be based on the two-part Wonderful World of Disney TV Show called The Secrets of Pirates' Inn I & II.
