Where to even begin with this one? (I mean, before we start firin' off classic lines at each other... :D) Starting with the actors: Steven Bauer (mad-young, at the time) who played Manny the ladies' man, would go on to play big boss Don Eladio (the guy Gus has the showdown with at the pool party) on "Breaking Bad." Mark Margolis, who played Alberto, the hired killer & bomber Tony turns on, would go on to play--- Ding Ding! :D Y'know, old man Salamanca on "Breaking Bad." Suffice it to say, this movie had an influence. An American rapper named himself after this movie. The whole vibe of the thing (visuals, music) inspired the game "Grand Theft Auto." That final scene--- inspired a lot of filmmakers (Tarantino is ABOUT it). Hokay, mang. Back to da bizness, mang. Diz da last time chew gonna zee a bad guy like DIS, mang...

That too! I forgot about that. Filmmaker Michael Mann was exec producer on the original MV show, back in the day. A big fan of Pacino (just like De Palma), so he got to work with Al P later on down the road in "Heat"...

I think theres a problem with this video. The audio is only coming out of one side of my headphones. Is anyone else having this problem because i know my headphones arent broken?

Отличная реакция, спасибо 😀. This is a remake of Scarface (1932).

Dasha my dear, I think you need to add some more Pacino to your channel. The man really is a master at his craft. Some of my favourites that I think you will enjoy are “The Devils Advocate” with Keanu, “Heat” with Robert De Niro, and “Donnie Brasco” with Johnny Depp. All excellent films!

Interesting trivia: Robert Loggia, who played boss Frank Lopez (in brownface), was also in 'Big'. He was dancing on the keyboard with Tom Hanks. This movie is a remake of an earlier film from 1932 which was based on a book inspired by real-life gangster Al Capone. If you want to see a great movie about the OG Scarface, I'd recommend 'The Untouchables' (1987) with Sean Connery and Robert De Niro.

Seems to be an editing mistake since her YouTube version is totally fine. Maybe she'll notice and reupload?

So, that's the light and breezy Scarface! You can see why it's a classic. Tony Montana is a train heading at top speed towards a broken bridge, and we can't tear our eyes away. One of the first major movies about a sociopathic barely-redeemable criminal, and yet we sympathise with him some of the time, because he's so charismatic and magnetic. We know he's broken, but we have to see his fate. Vagrancy - a vagrant is a homeless person, someone usually not trusted by the authorities because they have no roots or support, so likely to turn to crime. Stoolie - short for "stool pigeon". It comes from a fake pigeon hunters use as a decoy to attract real pigeons - so for criminals it means a snitch or someone working for the authorities against them. Dike (as in put your finger in the dike) - a dike is another word for "dam". It comes from an old dutch story about a boy who finds a hole in the dam, letting water through. The boy knows that if the hole isn't blocked, it'll get bigger - so he puts his finger in there to stop the water. So we use the phrase to mean someone doing something about a problem that everyone else is ignoring or doesn't notice. "dyke" is a word that rhymes with dike, and is an insulting word for a lesbian - which is why Manny and Tony start joking about putting a finger in the 'dyke' after hearing the phrase on TV. English is a fun language :D

I never get tired of that movie. Another movie that is about the drug world is "Blow (2001)" with Jonny Depp and it is a true story. and the movie Heat (1995) is another movie you would like.
