I loved this reaction! I was 20 when this movie came out and remember being blown away from it. 32 years later I can still watch it from start to finish several times a year. If you enjoyed all the details of the submarines you should look up the behind the scenes video. I'm sure it's on you tube. Some of the cast got to spend time on a U.S. sub. Th actor who played the U.S sub captain, Scott Glen said he just modeled his character after th actual captain of the sub he spent time on.
