Mondays are scripting days!

When I started OJST over a year ago, plotting out each comic was such an ordeal. I'd write way too much and then break everything down with thumbnails in my sketchbook, slicing apart and piecing together the guts that would become a page. It was completely trial and error.

Now, I can tell as I'm writing how many comic pages my text translate into. I can see how much space each beat needs and I haven't needed to thumbnail an update in ages because I can pretty reliable envision what I'll be drawing from the get-go.

It's nice, having a routine.

In book news: Design is... done? Page count is 268.

I keep finding little fiddly bits I want to change on the comics themselves (not the book design), but the end of June was our deadline and I don't want to turn this into a mission creep project where my poor book designer has to hunt down and execute a million barely-noticeable changes to my lettering and other things that a well-adjusted, normal human being will never, ever notice.

So we're callin' it done.

Done.

Dunny-Dun-DONE.
