IT'S DONE.

I did it.

The skydiver:

Grant me this moment to show the fuck OFF:

LOOK WHAT I USED TO BE ABLE TO DO.

This was probably around 2013-2015 and, sadly, I am out of practice since the pandemic has been on. Fortunately, I have pictures of The Glory Days so I can look back and say to myself* LOOK WHAT I USED TO BE ABLE TO DO and then incorporate them into my art like a fucking narcissist. A NARCISSIST WHO USED TO BE ABLE TO DO BOW-AND-ARR0W ON POLE.

*(and also my captive audience of patrons)

January 30

Spiritually, this couple feels like the conclusion of this piece for me. From the very beginning, I knew I would have a couple here, a couple in love, and I looked up so many different poses from tender to obscene and when I found this photo:

I knew this is it, this is the kind of human shapes I'm looking for.

January 31

There were so many more poses I wanted to incorporate and so many more ideas I had- more interactions for people to do through windows and between buildings- but it was January 31st and that was The Final Day. It was Good Enough and now it was done.

I'm figuring out how to make prints of this, though it's going to be a while before I have anything physical to sell so don't hold your breath.

This project left me with sheets of sketches on tracing paper and silhouette cutouts so I'm thinking I might make some special bundle packs of them and a print when I've finally got my shit together. I mounted (glued) that gold sheet above to a black piece of paper and it looks pretty cool, I think.

Thanks so much for following along for the last month! By turns this project delighted and frustrated me and in the end it gave me so many more ideas I want to do too. There's probably some analogy to be made about living through the first month of a new year.

On to February!
