Matt and I had no idea (—er, at least I didn’t. DID Matt know? ... Wait, no, I just checked: He also did not know) that the ACTUAL, PHYSICAL COPIES of our BRAND NEW BOOK, Let's Talk About It, were not only in the country but that they would be arriving on our doorstep TODAY.

Ohhhhhhhhmygaaaaaaaaawd!!!!!!!!

Look! Look at this beautiful thing!!!!!

The quality is so good????? I mean, I *know* Random House Graphic produces beautiful books, it’s just... AUHG THEY PRODUCED SUCH A BEAUTIFUL BOOK 😭 The paper quality and the delicious way the ink luxuriates on the page and the way the whole object feels in your hands as you hold it....

Also, the actual comics inside are... pretty good too????

Matt and I made the sex and relationship book that we wanted when we were teens.

Let’s Talk About It follows various teens as they find themselves in complicated situations and learn how to navigate through them with the help of their friends and community.

More than just sex, this book is about *being human*, showing the reader ways in which we can talk to each other and be a supportive, healthy comrade in our relationships— platonic AND romantic!

March 9th is its release date from Random House Graphic and it would really help give our book a boost in all the book-selling algorithms if you’d give it a pre-order before then /:)

Place your order with your fav local store or, if you don’t have the disposable income for book buyin' right now? Ask your library to order a copy! Let your tax dollars pay for it! ;D

Haha, this was not the update I was planning on posting today! I've got somethin' real personal and vulnerable that I made with a real life rock star that I'll be uploading tomorrow. A good couple dozen of you already know what it is because it led you here in the first place-- hello to my new patrons! Thank you for being here ♥-- and it's something I've been looking forward/dreading/needing/wanting to share with my own readers for a year and half.  Man, I dunno, all these seeds I planted years ago are bearing fruit at the same time and I gotta parcel 'em out so I don't just fire hose you all with too much... stuff!

Today? Today is for celebrating the book I've been dreaming of making for more than 15 years. It's the book I needed when I was a teen. It's the book of knowledge and compassion that I was making while dragging myself through some of the lowest points in my life. It's the book I worked on in the evenings after spending my days at the Intensive Outpatient Program. It's the book I had the option of setting aside while I worked on my recuperation, but it's the book that couldn't wait any more because it was happening and it was happening now, so I did both. I made this book and I worked so hard on recovering and I did them both at the same time and it was hard as fuck and today three boxes of the book showed up on my doorstep.

I can hold it in my hands now.

It's real.

Let's Talk About It.

Congrats!!!! Brand new here after listening to AFP podcast. I really wish i’d had this book when I was a teenager. It would have made such a difference for me. I’m 52. I’m definitely ordering one for my son. And my older boys and one of their girlfriends are artists and do some comic work, they’ll love the book and your story. So happy that you’re feeling better!!!
