EDIT: ADDITIONAL PICTURES ADDED TO THE END.

I was taking a reference picture of my hands and the camera went off right as Matt told me Tig had destroyed something precious in the basement and the resulting picture just... has a lot going on.

The context for this scene:

-Sometime in the 1940s(?), the previous owners of the house built a poorly insulated edition which is now my chilly-ass home studio. It blocks the wind, but whatever temperature it is outside is the temperature inside this nook. Hence: dressing like a babushka.

-That blanket was my friend's very first knitting project! And now it is my studio shawl (When I can wrestle it away from Tig), which I hold closed with not one but two wooden clothespins. Listen. It's gunna catch on. You just watch.

-The Lucy Bellwood standee. About that. See, in The Before Times, Lucy sat behind me at Helioscope Studio and she would photobomb the many reference pictures I'd take throughout the day. It was a good time! But now we are quarantined in our respective houses, which is not a good time :( But then! She was gifted this standee (stand-up? I forget what they're called) of herself, promoting her 100 Demon Dialogues book with a big ol' thumbs-up and after being unsure of what to do with it at her house, she has now gifted it to me so she can continue to photobomb me from across town. WIN-WIN!

-The embroidery stand doesn't actually add anything narratively to the picture, but I just wanted to humblebrag that my Mother-in-Law got me one a few years ago. Yeah. That's right. I've got a motherfuckin' embroidery stand. I'm fuckin' hard kore like that.

-Oh! And you can see my 11 completed panels of my 2020 Diary Quilt Thing hanging behind me!

------------------------

Wait, I'm not done talking about the Lucy standee.

Here's Matt and me picking it up from Lucy last month:

(Matt's mask is around his neck in these pictures. He stayed in the car the whole time, which is why he doesn't have it up in these pictures!)

EDIT: Somehow I didn't notice that the first picture was upside down when I uploaded it? Here's the right-side-up version,

Ok, I'm just procrastinating on finishing next week's comic now. Uhggggg it's a really long one and uhhhhgggggggggg.

EDIT X2: Here's the drawing that the photo reference was taken for!
