Yesterday I got some more progress shots from Allyson Haller (http://www.allysonhaller.com) as she works away on laying out the OJST book. Realized that I'd sent her some files where I forgot to remove my placement marks that help guide me line up all my pages when I turn them into the single web-size image. WOOPS. So I gotta fix those some time soon.

After spending the weekend out of town, I stayed home so I could spend some time with Matt, even in the form of both of us working. It was fitting, since today I was laying out his script reviewing cock rings.

We found a way to work in an Indiana Jones joke so basically at this point we're just using OJST to reference all of our favorite movies and TV shows.

A pregnancy resource website cropped my Emergency Contraception comic (http://ohjoysextoy.com/emerencycontraception) and posted it in one of their FAQs to help explain that EC isn't abortion, but they did this without asking permission to edit my work, nor did they credit me in any way. It sucks, because I DO want to educate people through my comics but also I'm a (very) small business and I support myself in part by licensing my work to websites who want to re-publish it. Of course, thanks to sites like Tumblr and Imgur (etc) people just take my stuff, crop it, post it and it becomes another piece of free detritus on the internet, there to be taken and reposted at will. We sent them an invoice with my very reasonable standard licensing rate and said we're open to negotiate to fit their budget, but these reproductive health places typically don't have a budget at all. What's a self-employed sex educator cartoonist to do.

Haroo.
