Making Friends (Patreon)

In our script-making process, if Matt has a specific image in mind for a panel, he'll either Google an example to show me or, failing that, he'll take his own reference picture for me. 

Unrelated to this information, Matt's taken up bouldering and he's even made a new friend with this sweet 40something Climber Dad who goes with his seven year old son. Matt's slow to make new friends anyway, and our line of work adds an extra hurdle when getting to know someone who's not at all in our industry. You don't wanna scare somebody off before they've had a chance to get to know you, you know? ("We make health education comics" is our standard response when somebody asks what we do.)

SO ANYWAY.

Matt sent me this reference photo to go with a script he was working on:

Except he didn't send it to me.

He sent it to Climber Dad.

And, bless him, Climber Dad sent this back.

I think their friendship is gunna be ok.
