Like you, have not read the graphic novel (though am familiar with he overall plot and how it ends). I do have the book and plan to read it, though at this point I may wait until after I watch part two of the movie. As for the movie, really enjoyed it and am very much looking forward to the second part. I agree that the post-credits scene served as a better cliffhanger than the last scene prior to the credits.
