My symptoms got worse, so I went to the doctor. Turns out I have strep throat. I was given antibiotics and I was told it should be gone in a few days. In the meantime I’ve been trying to get some writing done but find myself falling asleep at my desk so progress has been slow.

Apologies for the delay, hopefully there will be a chapter out soon!

As someone that's had strep throat in the past, be very careful what foods you eat to avoid choking or puking, take care of your health and when you can stay hydrated.

I have a great argument to make here. Take the weekend off. You've done great, it's fine to spend some time to yourself. If you feel motivated to write, then go ahead, but don't feel obligated. Sick days are a thing in employment for a reason, so take them.

Make sure you take the full prescription even after the symptoms have gone. Otherwise there’s a good chance you’ll just get ill again in a few days. Unless your GP has stated otherwise.
