Hello everyone!

I hope you are having a good week, and are safe and all that shit, cause the virus is fucked up.

Having all this "free" time due to the Quarantine, means that i can focus more on the game, (because thanks to the pandemic i dont have to spend 3+ hours each day traveling)

I been making numbers and working a lot on the game, and since we reached 1100+ now im using all the money above that to comission stuff and improve the game. 

There is no secret that i been working in updating the visual of the character models for some time now, in conjunction with a 3d artist, and a 3d texturer. Here is a small preview of how is it going.

On the left is the current mesh (3d model) of the character, on the right is the future 3d model.

Im also working with the 3d modeler (Zaz, you may know him from varios Skyrim mods he made, among other interesting stuff). to add a bit more customization on the face, and better facial expressions.

That is something that i want to hype, because im super hyped about it, even considering the huge amount of work i have to do to implement it. I think it will be 100% worth.

There's another thing i wanted to tell, and i will be asking your opinion on this, as im kind of in a crossroad here, where both options seem good, and i can't take a desition. Keep in mind that im picking between one and the other mainly because of time constraints.

So after some talk with friends i realized that Kinky Fight Club is an arcade game on itself, much like Mortal Kombat, and some others, but not a Story-driven RPG. I been putting a lot of time into the Story mode, and i think that i went too wide, where the Story mode is taking so much time, that is really costing me to finish it.

The problem is: instead of making a super simple linear story where you fight, then exposition, then fight, then exposition and repeat until the game ends. (kinda like most fighting games Story), i made  a lot of areas where you can train and visit and play at your own rythm. Withouth realizing it, i replicated the dating-sim style of Story, and i don't think that is particularly bad, as it is something i like, but i found out that im almost making two games at the same time.

So im thinking here of making the Story a bit simpler, i won't ditch anything i made yet, but ill maybe cut a bit of things, in order to keep the work time to focus more on the arcade aspect, which is the central point in the game.

But since i love both things i can't decide, so im here asking for your opinions! These help me think outside the box when im out of ideas.

What are the options here?

A - Focus on Story mode, and on the next Goal at 1400s, make the mini dating sim.

B - Focus on Arcade mode, and on the next Goal at 1400s, add the King of the ring to arcade.

C - Other.

Alright, so option A is what i been talking previously mostly. while option B is something that i only few people know, and is that during story mode some optional event is the King/Queen of the ring, where a character is restrained and has to survive for 3 minutes or lose. (and then do the same thing to their opponent).

If option B wins, i could spend that time to develop better and add it to the Main menu as a variant play mode.

So that's my dilema of the week. I like what im doing with the Story mode, but i feel like i could make a separate game (Atlantic City Adventures?) if i wanted to go full on dating-sim.

What are your opinions?

Also, at this point im 100% sure i won't be able to finish the game for may 31. That was the release date if i didn't start to mess up and "improve" things. In a few days i will have the aproximate release date, but i would expect somewhere around early september, as i really need to polish the game.

I think that is all, sorry for the long post, i can't avoid writting so much >_<

I still think you should make an unlimited mode, where two characters just bang each other silly until you decide to end it. Kinda like the watch modes on the DOA series, except you have the option to take part in it.

I kinda want more customization in the form of body sliders. Example being able to increase the body sizes and parts further. (/^~^)/

Story mode is probably barebones/unnecessary for custom characters anyways, I don't hold my breath for it.

Im sorry, that is probably the biggest regret i get from how i made the game, making characters bigger would consume a lot of time and it's basically not possible for me as a indie creator to re-do 70% of clothings :(

Moves that consist of pushing someone against the cage would be cool too. It is common in MMA to use the cage to your advantage. On the note of fatalities, a special finishing move for each charecter would be nice. Maybe a "Rage Art" type thing from the tekken series.

I would prefer to have more moves, more customization, more polishing over new functionalities. Personally, I really don't like text driven RPGs or things like that, I'm more of an action guy so I would prefer if you focused on the gameplay itself.

you could probably make it like different weight classes. Add all of the current stuff to a middle weight then make Feather Weight/Heavy Weight separate classes and you could add clothes for those groups as time goes on. I'd be more then happy to keep supporting if it meant more content and customization.

I've been recording and posting matches to a certain adult content site in order to promote the game so he gets more subs and we get more funding goals met :-P I encourage you to do the same

Engine allowing one thing that could be cool would be the option to /add/ clothing to your opponent during a match. Could do cool stuff like bondage gear, gags, humiliating clothing, ect. It could even give debuff making the player chose between leaving it there for short term gain/long term loss or taking the time to remove it now. No idea if this is feasible (or even a good) idea but just thought I mention something I was thinking about.

That is a great idea, however it will take quite a bit of time to make the content needed for it, but at some point im planning on adding it!

Would it be possible in the current game to support handicap or tag team matches?

Can you elaborate a bit more on what you mean with handicap? (there's quite a variety of ways to do it). And Tag team (1vs1, but able to switch with partner) is something that is planned for the future, probably after launch

Or maybe a "Specialized Move", a position that, for that character, does a significantly larger amount of damage, and is significantly harder to escape? I mean, I'm not sure how well a "finisher" would work inside the confines of the existing game. I'm all in for being able to utilize the cage for certain positions!

I would guess that it could be done using the "Keep Going" function......(Keep Going)- the original "vanilla" use....(Keep Going Longer)- As it is now..... (Keep Going Forever)- Same thing, only goes until the player wants to stop......(Keep Going Fight)- The fight continues, although the player would have already won or lost, for the purposes of coins, of course. Otherwise, the fight just keeps on until you've had enough.
