Alright Squad - We are officially through with all the "non-blueprint" related content, which means we are finally stepping into completely unknown territory now - While there is A LOT we were able to do without programming, it was always inevitable that we'd eventually need to at least learn the basics of how to manipulate our scene with blueprints/code -

ALSO - I have been busily working behind the scenes on setting up the Discord, and I believe I'll be able to have it up before the end of the month - I can't really afford to hire moderators yet, so  until I solve that, initially, I'll test the launch by just announcing it here on Patreon/YouTube Memberships. It wont "technically" be private, but I think it will be good to just "see if it works" with our inner circle first before releasing it publicly.

So, before it goes full public, I'll be setting up a special thread in the discord dedicated towards testing/learning Blueprint stuff that I'd like to figure out for tutorials on the channel. I'll do my best to learn as much as I can on my own, but I already know that I'm going to need some help to figure out the more complicated stuff. So, if you'd like to be a part of the blueprint solving thread early on before it goes public, go ahead and drop a comment to let me know you want to join, or message me and I'll add you to the thread in about 3-5 days when I finally get it up and running -

Anyway, that's my main priority right now, so here goes nothing -
I'll see ya in the next vid :)

I really look forward to the discord server! Would like to share my project to the dedicated gamedev community. 👀 Although I always had Unreal Engine in my mind, the engine I'm currently working with is Godot 4. Also one of the most hard-to-pin stages for me while making a game is choosing a level editor that allows a comfortable pipeline and a compatible workflow for aesthetic+gameplay+assembly. TrenchBroom is the best tool for either low-poly games, prototyping, or designing a base geometry to work on. Then Blender for adding decorations on top. Maybe there are better options, I think it'd be great to talk about. :o

Regarding the server, and I hope it's okay if I could give advice about it (not take, of course, I believe that's up to you!): from what I can tell by your subscriber count on Youtube (190K), I wouldn't set it publicly at least early on, as it could turn into an eternal bottleneck to moderate alone. When the time comes, maybe try setting it up first for patrons only, just in case, to see how it would fare combined with your day by day?

No worries, the Discord will have a section for "Projects" in general, it doesn't have to be Unreal or Unity, Godot projects are more than welcome, it's more about the project itself than the software :)
