Welcome back and congratz on the move Seems like you have some interesting crossover with current trends. Coming from Unity and moving to Unreal while also being interested in AI. At the same time we're seeing a decent push on the Unity side into integrating the new AI into NPCs. I've pulled it off myself, well I hired someone to get the base of it working for me, but I got 3 other non-Unity versions working on my own with various resources. We've seen a bit of that on the Unreal side, but it seems to be more through the company-based character AI systems and quite lacking. I bet there's some opportunity there.

Thanks man! And, yeah I'm definitely monitoring the trends very closely since everything is changing so fast now. New workflows are being developed every month that make the previous month pipelines look phenomenally slow lol - I actually used to be SUPER into the AI NPC stuff for Unity. Back then I used "ML Agents" to train AI on Unity character behaviors, and it was a lot of fun. But, I didn't have a good enough machine to make much use of it. Now I have a much better machine, so it's on the table again. But, I'm waiting for Unreal to catch up to ML Agents with it's own version. Right now, I've heard it's still quite a ways behind, so we'll see how it progresses, but I'm hoping by the end of the year we'll have something close or equivalent to it in Unreal - If we do, you can bet I'll be covering it here on the channel with you all :)
