Hey Squad, I just wanted to fill you guys in on some important things that have been happening lately - I have been crazy filling out all the red-tape paperwork and forums required to put the game on both Android and Apple APP stores - And, there were some unfortunate setbacks.
The main problem being that I forgot that the game had to be under 150 megabytes to be loaded to the Android store. Because of this, I was forced to diagnose what parts of the game where taking up the most space. Unfortunately it turns out all of the special effects and environment assets I purchased from the Unity Asset store, weren't very mobile friendly, they looked beautiful, but they were taking up almost 250mb of data, and we are only allowed 150. My game by itself without any special effects and asset environments is only 100mb big. So, I had to remove a lot of the special effects and cut entire levels and environments out of the game in order for it to fit on the store :(
After wrestling with what to cut and what to keep for a few days, I finally got it uploaded properly, but the effects are kinda bland, and out of 9 environments I had prepared for the game, only 4 fit into the final cut. (Doesn't effect the gameplay, just the background visuals)
It's still in review from Google, but I'll let you guys know here when it shows up on the App store for Android, I'm currently still in the process of uploading it to the apple store, but I wanted you guys to know what's been going on the past few days, so thank you for your patience, I really appreciate it -
The above video is what the game was supposed to look like with all the original Special Effects and environment lighting/shading/materials - Looks like, no one will ever be able to experience the original aesthetic, but I at least wanted you guys to know what it was supposed to look like -
