Hey Squad, as many of you know, in the next few videos, we will be covering the most important ways I believe Blender could be improved - We've been waiting a long time for 3.0 to release, and since it's finally here, I think now is a good time to really display a "head-to-head" comparison on things I would really want to see Blender learn from other software.

Ironically, most of the changes I'm about to recommend are actually quite simple and small, but if implemented, could definitely save hundreds of hours of work for each Blender User.

Something I'd like everyone here to know is that I've gone through very great lengths to make the next few videos as objective as possible. I will not be sharing my opinion much, only demonstrating raw side by side comparisons. The software will speak for themselves, and the videos will function like an exhibition for key features with us observing the pros and cons of each -

There are 2 key reasons for doing this series. The first and most important reason is to nudge Blender towards adopting more efficient methods and improving it's already great user interface. The better Blender becomes, the more people will use it, the bigger our community will grow, and the better our community will be - My 2nd reason is I think it's very important for blender users to better understand people from other software. I have a feeling many people who have grown up completely in Blender will have their mind blown once they see how other software handle the same problems, and why Blender should improve in those areas if it can.

All that being said, because I want to show the best of each software in these comparisons - I want to make sure I have ample practice with 3.0 before I record these demonstrations, so it will take me 1 or 2 more days until the next video is ready. But, once it is, I think you guys will understand why it's taking so long. These are going to be very thorough comparisons often coming down to the difference in "seconds" of execution - So, thank you for being patient, I can't wait to show you what I've got in store :)

As programmer I can say there is a lot of simple stuff which is hard to implement.... :)

Yes, let's just hope if they do and realize how Blender+ has become the new Maya, that their palms don't start to get itchy and decide to make it rentware or were create a "PRO" version we need to start paying for.

Making Blender for-pay would go against everything Ton Roosendaal stands for (never mind that he really doesn’t care about being rich). They have Blender Cloud which many people pay for just to support the foundation and it’s working out fine.
