Alright Squad. It's taken a lot of thought... Originally I had planned to teach Square UV Mapping next, but after running through multiple ideas for how to explain things as cleanly as possible, I've decided to cover normal editing BEFORE we cover Square UV Mapping. In real application, you always make sure you're shadows and topology are good before finalizing the UV, so it didn't make sense to do it out of order.

Now, I've been trying very hard to handle teaching editing normals. It's often the most infuriating and difficult part of this art style, and I think many aspiring anime artists generally get lost when they get to this step. That's why I've taken a bit of extra time to plan our series this month.

However, I do believe I have separated the most important parts into digestible segments, so here we go -

looking for info on normal editing for this style has always been a pain for me, im definitely going to attempt these techniques as you go, good luck my guy!

Thank you, and same here - Normals was the most difficult part for me to wrap my head around, but after talking to some Pros, they shared some pretty good tricks with me, so you'll be seeing those in the next few videos :)
