Well, here we are. Belly of the beast. I know some of you here have been waiting for nearly 2 years for this series. Thank you so much for being patient - I'll do my best to pump out this series as fast as humanly possible. I do believe that these are topics are the founding fathers of all 3D games. Once you can control these pieces, there really is no limit to what you can create :)

Alright, let's do this -

I joined the Patreon for the Blender stuff but I have tried and failed to "get into" Unity a few years ago. I ended up going back to making a (free) game in Construct 3 but still wished I could do something I actually understood in 3D so I'm quite curious how this series pans out. Whether I have enough personal time to still be learning blender and unity remains to be seen but I can watch at least, see if it sparks something.

When the pandemic started Unity had a 30 hour course (6 weeks) for free! I joined in about 1/2 way through, watched almost 20 hours of video lessons in 4 days and the rest of the course was fantastic! I had never worked in such an environment and loved it. By the end of the class I had written a simple game called Major Miner a combination of Miner 49'er (atari circa 1970's) and Donkey Kong. It was a lot of fun. I look forward to starting again and building my own game that I can publish!

Honestly, it's people in your demographical experience I'm targeting this series for specifically. A lot of people have tried to get into game programming, but got off to a rough start, got confused, or overwhelmed. But, definitely feel free to just watch, and then see if it looks like something you might be able to use. Just knowing how to program games opened up a lot of doors in my life I never expected to have. So, it's useful even outside of game development -

That's pretty awesome man-! You're definitely a more seasoned veteran programmer then - But, I am still hoping you'll learn something new from this series. I've probably spent more time thinking and planning this month out than any other month in my life, so if I did my job correctly, we'll have unlocked some gates for potential game developers who didn't know they could make their own games :)
