We have reached Our 750 Goal!!! (Patreon)

I still don't quite understand how it happened, but we have reached our 3rd Patreon goal of 750! As a result, I've been spending a little more time looking into the process of getting the Rokoko face rig stuff to work. It seems like the biggest "task" to overcome is the fact that the face MoCap only works if your 3D head already has the 52 standard shape-keys that the IphoneX format is using.

Now, I really didn't have the time to make 52 facial shape keys on my own, so I bought the Blender Add-On called "Face-It' which claims to generate them for you. Spent almost $100 bucks on it, and unfortunately it didn't really live up to it's expectations. I'm currently looking to see if there are any other software/add-ons that can reliably generate these 52 required shape keys, but it's an ongoing process. I'd like to use Facial MoCap for at least ONE short scene in our upcoming game. But it's kinda costly. Rokoko recommends using a proxy vendor that will create the 52 shape keys for you. However, this service costs between $300 - $400 per face... and the Facial Software for Rokoko alone costs $700. So... it's not something we're going to be able afford this month :(

In the spirit of not wasting time in the meanwhile, I've gone ahead and decided that we are going to go ahead and tackle the Unity Programming Introduction Series first instead. The main reason being that it doesn't require me to purchase anything, and is something I can generate right now. It used to be the $1000 patreon goal, but now that we have decided to move more in the direction of Character Design/Animation, I think it's best to go ahead and get this out the way first. It's no longer locked behind our Patreon goal since I don't believe that the majority of our audience is here for Unity.  

That being said, I'm almost done preparing for the next series of tutorials coming February.
I genuinely look forward to sharing what I know about game design programming with everyone, so I hope you guys look forward to it too :)
