News From Patreon CEO (Regarding Pledges) (Patreon)

So, I just wanted to give a heads up that the CEO has informed all Patreon creators that on July 1st, state law has forced Patreon to apply taxes to certain pledges. This does not apply to anyone from a country in the EU, and 14 of the US States.

They did give me some leeway with how I can reduce taxes on my supporters, and I have taken all the extra measures I possibly could to make sure that the taxes have been reduced or nullified as much as possible. So, it probably wont affect us, but on the off chance that you do see a 4-7% tax on pledges after July 1st, please don't be alarmed. It's part of the system now. Hope that clears up any potential confusion. I wanted to tell you guys ahead of time just in case -
