First time working in Lauren's new studio! It's in a great location right off the square and it has gorgeous natural light. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't envious at all. I'm so happy and proud of all my artistic friends and how far they've all come in their own journeys. I'm trying to get better at giving that same recognition to myself. It's easy to be proud of others, but it seems difficult to view yourself in that same light sometimes.

The heat was absolutely scorching on this day, which is a stark difference to the now crisp October air. I was almost convinced we'd have a warm Halloween this year with how things had been going, but as Georgia does, she took a sharp turn and has already blessed us with incredibly cold mornings, perfect afternoons, and chilly nights.

Can ya tell I love pink? People always seem to think it will clash with my hair, but I don't think so at all. I really feel like I can rock almost any color, except maybe pale yellow... I'm a bit too pale for that.

The day we took these, I was with Lauren from LEM Photography and Bethanie from Minds I Obscure; both good creative friends you've seen me work with time and time again. We decided to spend the day switching roles so we all got to play model and photographer. I'll share Bethanie's artistic eye with this set soon. It's really cool getting multiple artists together in a room and seeing how differently they go about utilizing the set, the light, the composition, and postproduction work. I feel like I always leave learning so much after watching and learning from others. I hope I'm able to help others feel that way, too.

What are you proud of yourself for lately? I'm proud of working and keeping my sanity despite the horrors this year has thrown at me. It's been rough. But I'm still breathing. Right here with you!

💞

P.S. did you know that a group of flamingos is called a flamboyance? I love that so much.
