Excited to officially announce that I'll be working with Alex again on my second ever trip up to Minneapolis. If my memory serves me correctly, in 2021 I had originally ended up scheduling a session with Alex last minute due to a model cancellation on his end. Being as it was my first time in the area, I didn't have many contacts, so despite his unfortunate luck I was thrilled to be able to accept his offer.

Alex ended up booking me for a half day at this pretty decently sized studio in the area. We explored multiple genres and looks such as art nude, lingerie, and fashion. This is one of my favorite pieces that is a great base and looking back I think I should have paired it with some type of chains or jewelry. I'm really trying to think more about styling and fashion this year. I want to bring more to the table than just my posing abilities and expression; I also want to be able to cater to a variety of clients and looks and expand on utilizing unique one-of-a-kind looks for projects. I'm hoping this will not only serve to elevate my artwork and perception of myself, but also entice new clients who want to make use of the wardrobe at no additional cost.

I've been spending a lot of time on Etsy the past few days, clicking and favoriting away, organizing collections for future financial aspirations that would allow me to design and purchase all the looks and visions in my head. I've been finding some incredible designers and looks. If I can find the means to invest more here and there, I think it'll be worth it.

People often overlook the overhead costs of being an artist, I think...especially a multifaceted one. Not only do I have camera equipment and subscription platforms (i.e. photoshop, lightroom, wix, et cetera) but I also have wardrobe, hair, makeup, travel, food... I should really compile an itemized list sometime and post a blog about it on my website. I think it could help demonstrate value proposition to potential clients as well as other professionals in the field. I've found a lot of helpful information from browsing other artist's personal blogs. I love that we are in an era that allows such efficient communication.

Anyway, Minneapolis. Alex has booked me for another half day session and I'm excited to see what we may get into this time! Only a few weeks left to prepare for tour...and still so much to do...like any other time, I'm nervous!

So glad to have you along for the ride.

'Till then!
