Hahahaha, throwback to one of my most traumatizing (but still fun) experiences as a model! Craig Gum, someone who I have been collaborating with ever since I started modeling, had this crazy cool concept that he chose me to help him execute. The concept involved a lot of red paint being applied to me, and, well... long story short, Craig made the devastating mistake of buying the incorrect type of paint for the project...instead of getting water based paint safe for human skin...this man put house paint on me! HOUSE PAINT! Oh my god, I thought I was going to kill him. Let this be a lesson to all of you artists you there: DOUBLE CHECK THE PRODUCTS YOU'RE USING! And let this be a note to all of you non-artists out there: recognize that we suffer for our art!

Obviously, soap and water did absolutely nothing to help me get cleaned up. In order to rid my sensitive skin from the staining red, we had to use...ugh...paint thinner. Yes. Paint thinner. Did it damage me in any way? Probably! But not to my knowledge! We tried to use as little as we could and had the door open and the fans on. Everyone kind of chipped in scrubbing the hell out of my skin and I definitely took a proper shower upon arriving home.

Would I do it again? No.

Was it worth it? Yes.

Scroll through the photos to the end to see the final result of all the chaos!

P.S. I decided to share these with you all because the person who took them, Emily Pittman, stumbled upon them in her iCloud and sent them to me recently; we were talking because we are working together tomorrow! It's been awhile since we've collaborated, so I'm looking forward to whatever holiday fun we get into. I'm actually about to head out to the store to finish grabbing a few last minute props for the session before I come back home and paint my nails red to match the concept! Busy, busy.

Stay tuned!
