Okay, has there ever been an underwater runway show? Because if not, can I be the first one to organize such an event?! Could you image a trail of incredible dive certified models walking along the bottom of the pool in long ethereal otherworldly pieces? Ahhhhhhh ✨

So inspired after creating this gorgeous set with Fuquan. Fuquan and I met each other many years ago at a fun Twisted Disney group shoot (I believe I mentioned this before in a previous post). Finally, we got the chance to work with one another on our own project! I saw he was diving into underwater photography (pun intended) and since I had some down time and was itching for the water, I decided to swing by his apartment in Atlanta and see what we could come up with.

Since it was a public pool, we had to of course stay clothed, but I'm totally fine with that; I love art nude work, but fashion is just as good, especially when you get to collaborate with talented designers or stylists. We mixed some of his props and wardrobe with mine and spent the next few hours being mermaids.

I absolutely love the way fabric looks in water. It reminds me of the gorgeous marble statues that are somehow able to capture thin movement in textures. Next year I definitely plan to do more underwater work. I'm really missing it. But I'm happy to say I got to experience one more amazing concept underwater after this shoot before the season closed!

Which outfit is your favorite? I was hoping we'd get some more wide angled shots, but these are a nice change of pace too. I know I am a broken record with this, but I cannot wait until I can have my own housing and tripod and go off with my own work underwater... I feel like it could be career changing for me. Maybe I have rose colored glasses. Maybe I'm just inspired.

We'll see.
