Wednesday evening I dove back into the water with Craig! So while we wait for those results, here's a throwback to the chaotic year of 2020, finding some quiet bliss in the water.

I've been dealing with some pretty bad dental pain recently; I had a cracked tooth that didn't bother me at all, and ever since my dentist fixed the crack 2 weeks ago, I've been in pain. It's gotten worse and pretty unbearable the past few days, so working has been rough. Even through that, though, I was somehow able to follow through with our scheduled shoot the other day without canceling (though I really considered it).

If you saw the clip I uploaded here on the Lens, you can see some video work from Wednesday! I cannot wait to show you all the results. I definitely wasn't my best, being a bit out of practice underwater and in a lot of pain, but I think I still did okay and I'm proud of myself.

Plus, we scheduled another session for next week! And... it'll be in open water!!! Nothing huge, but it's different for me - we'll be shooting in the lake behind the woman's house who let us use her pool Wednesday. I have another model coming along who I've never officially worked with, so that's exciting.

Fingers crossed I'm feeling better by then. If not, I'll just try to tough it out again.

Summer is almost over. Go jump in the water!
