One thing I thoroughly enjoyed about this session was getting to make art with my mother's old prom gown; she originally wore it with a hoop skirt, too, though I wasn't sure it fit the vibe here. We used to attend historical reenactments when I was a kid and I first wore this dress there for an evening ball. If I have kids, I think it would be a cool tradition to keep this gown to photograph it through the generations. It's a simple dress, but I really love it, even though it doesn't truly fit me anymore (and didn't here either, haha).

This abandoned church was a dream all on its own, too. I was so enthralled walking down all the old hallways and corridors. This room was amazing, though I'm not the biggest fan of the graffiti here. I need to get better at exploring and finding new interesting places to shoot. Georgia is full of abandoned buildings, but finding ones without trespassing signs is the challenge.

It was actually kind of a challenge entering this building; it involved some climbing and sketchy crossings, but so worth it! Pretty sure there was a group of kids filming a YouTube video when we were there, too.

Gotta love the art life.
