This is the final little set from the last time I saw Daphne in July of last year. When we shot these, we drove just a minute around the bend from her house, where this little stream in the woods of Tennessee intersects the paved road. The stream had overflowed a bit and was submerging part of the road. I threw on my little vintage gown that I had thrifted on that same tour and went out into the cold stream. Even though it was July, the water was dang cold! It felt great though. A few trucks went by while we were shooting and decided to stop and stare. I just laughed and smiled. As long as people aren't rude, I try not to let the looks get to me anymore. I just try to stay in the moment.

Since then, Daphne has moved out of her rental home and bought a house. I cannot wait to eventually see it! It looks so beautiful, decorated with all her plants and animals. Man, it must be amazing to find your dream home and snatch it. I wonder if I'll ever buy a house (in this economy?). Ha.

Even though the winter has only just arrived here in Georgia, I'm so ready for spring to come. I am so sensitive to the cold, so that really limits my ability to create outside, even though I try my best to overcome it. After the shivering workshop back in October, I've kinda stayed away from cold gigs for the season, lol. However, I do have a nude outdoor body painting shoot this month in Myrtle Beach... fingers crossed I don't freeze!
