Once a dancer, always a dancer

Saw that phrase captioned on a former dancer's modeling photo the other day, and it resonated. I may not be as advanced as many former dancers, but I did practice many different types of dance throughout my life; I have dabbled in ballet, tap, jazz, clogging, contemporary, swing, hip hop, pole and more. Dance was once my life. Did you know Billie Eilish was a dancer before she ventured into singing? She was forced to quit due to injury. I'd like to revisit dance in more ways than just through modeling. Maybe I should put my pole back up and give it a go.

Paul hired me specifically for the movement he found in my portfolio. He wanted to recreate the fluidity and motion that dancers bring to their work in photography. I was nervous being hired for a job that required some dance experience, but I think the result are marvelous and I feel inspired to go even more into it. I think I'll buy some new pointe shoes and see what I can do with them. I need to learn how to properly wear them. I never actually made it to pointe when I did ballet, so it's new for me.

What are your hidden talents? Did you know I did so much dance as a kid? Maybe I should go through all my trophies and medals sometime!
