I don't know what to say, but I think we are all sad tonight.

I felt optimistic today after blue seemed to be sweeping over my usually-red home state. Then evening rolls around; I finished up my first yoga practice of the new year and rolled over to check my phone before hopping in the shower.

My phone was already vibrating with messages and links regarding the Capital being stormed.

I've been watching my favorite podcast on YouTube while they cover the story, live, as updates occur.

I have many emotions and many thoughts. Part of me wants to stay silent and part of me wants to say everything. I guess that is one good thing about having multiple platforms - I can say a little bit everywhere without it being too overwhelming, I hope.

January 20th cannot come fast enough...
