I shot this image just last week of Erin with my new wide angle lens! This was my first time meeting Erin; she is currently on tour and had time to shoot with me at the studio where I worked for Christopher Warrick's workshop and drawing class. I shot her, she shot me, and then her partner shot us together.

Here is a before-and-after image of the first shot I have edited from the set. I started with a preset to make the image lighter, played a little with the exposure, highlights and shadows, and brought down the clarity a bit. I wanted this to be soft and clean and white. A very pristine look. I also edited out the lines in the tile and walls with the healing brush tool to get a smooth finish.

Afterwards, I exported from Lightroom to Photoshop. In PS, I lifted the brightness and added some contrast for more light and depth. I sharpened her eyes, dodged (highlighted) parts of her legs, cheeks, and arms, and burned (darkened) contrasting parts; this adds depth and shine to her body.

Mostly, I just wanted a very clean image with a glowing model. This piece didn't take as much editing as some of my other work.

One day maybe I will learn how to make a video on the screen while I work so I can show you in real time!
