This set was shot in November of 2017 by photographer Shane Evans. Before my trip north, he informed me of the nudity laws that surround D.C., and I immediately requested this shoot. He had done this before and agreed, of course. The wind speed was high on this day, it was cold, and there was a much larger crowd and security than we had anticipated. Shane talked to the guards (just in case), and they gave us the okay.

A nice man with a political tent (free Tibet!) allowed me to change semi discretely behind his stand, and we shot for a few minutes that felt like hours! It was intense. When I looked up to run back across the street and get dressed, a group of teenage boys had kicked up their boards and were "looking cool." They nodded at me. I shook my head.
