January Short Story - The Ruler’s Companion (Patreon)

Alright, folks! This is a bit later than I'd hope for a couple of reasons. The first was that day lost to food poisoning. The second, however, was that...I badly underestimated the length of what I wanted to write. Even now, despite this short being well over 7,000 words instead of the usual 5,000ish, I ended up splitting this particular story. This is Part 1 and I'll do Part 2 as the non-poll story next month.

Despite that, I don't regret choosing it. I think this particular series has potential, but since I never managed to delve farther into it than a single release, I'm not sure people even knew what to think of it. This and next month's will give people a better idea what it's all about. After that, I'll keep it in the polls for a month or two longer to see if people like the way it's going. If they don't, then I'll drop it entirely. It was always a bit of an outlier for this Patreon, since the vast majority of the content here has either a Female or Futa protagonist. Whereas this story has a male perspective. Which...doesn't mean there won't be F/F shenanigans, as should be obvious from this particular entry. Still, if you lot don't like it, there's no point in writing it. At least for release here ;-).
