Short-Short Story (Patreon)

Alright. So, I came to a sort of compromise regarding the third short I'd wanted to do for last month. That short was, if you remember, an apology short for failing to manage two short stories back in June. Letting that sort of thing keep cascading forward is how I end up with delays and tons of stress. At the same time, though, I purely hated the idea of simply not ever providing the missed short. The compromise I came up with was to take the fun little snippet I'd been working on as the third story and clean it up into a short-short.

I'd originally hoped to expand it to around 3k words, which would have been shorter than normal, but not that much so. Instead, since I can't let this continue snowballing, I decided to just clean up the small bit I'd managed to write already. While it was originally intended to have a bit more too it, the 'fun' bit was already written. So I reworked a bit of it to turn it into a self-contained 'Short-Short,' only about 1,700 words, and I'm just going to publish it like that. I apologize for it being so short...but I felt this was better than releasing nothing. And this way I can still do the regular two shorts this month, getting back on track fully. It's also, I think, still a fun little short, despite the small size.
