Roadmap for April (Patreon)

Alright everyone. Instead of jumping right into a progress report, I wanted to simply go over what the plan is for this month. We've still got one overdue reward from last month, and I really want to get this overlap under control, which means I'm planning to shift some things around a bit.

First, Galactic Nomad. This is pretty late by now, sorry! On the other hand, I can report that it's well on the way to being done. I, hopefully, have about 3,500 words and was planning to write a bit more before I crash. The 'hopefully' bit is because the computer I was using to write with just...crashed. After a few curses, I decided to break while it was rebooting to write this post. Hopefully either Word's recovery thing or it's auto-save feature caught most of what I'd just written -_-. Either way, I expect to finish the writing today (the 8th), and hopefully have it out tomorrow (the 9th).

Second...you may have noticed that I haven't put up a Focus Poll for Chastity Quest. And...I'm not planning to. Sorry. The simple truth is that when trying to come up with something for you all to have input on, I ran face-first into a couple of issues. The largest is that Chastity Quest is actually pretty near completion. Mind you, there's still a minimum of 3 builds left (including this month's), meaning at least 6 months of dev time to completion. However, the truth is that almost everything is 'locked in' at this point. Making it hard to alter anything based on poll results alone. The other issue, less major but still annoying, is that I'm constantly hitting the limits of what I can do with Skyrim. I can't just...make a new fetish option for you guys to vote about, unless there are existent mods assets for it. It's one of the many, many reasons I will be glad to wrap Chastity Quest up. The Patreon has grown beyond the point where it really makes sense to keep using non-custom assets like Chastity Quest does.

On that note, a quick note! Don't worry about Chastity Quest ending ^_^. I'm already planning things to replace it, and you guys are going to have plenty of input into what the next game will be. Polls on that topic will likely start appearing in a month or two.

Third! As I mentioned, I'm planning a few steps to get control of this overrun issue that started due to the clusterfuck that was February. One of those is the fact that I'm going to pick a simple one-off story, rather than an existing one, as the second short this month. Likely a fanfic of some sort, but on a less world-building scale than Mass Effect: Final Error. Likewise, I'm planning to simplify the Wallpaper reward by making a pack of 4k wallpapers out of some of the best renders of the comics. There will actually be more wallpapers than usual, as a way to compensate for the fact that they aren't 100% original this month. And they will be at least a bit original, as I'm going to have to modify most of them to hold up to a 4k render. Still, it should be faster than scratch building new scenes like I did for the last set of wallpapers. The last step will simply be to keep the size of the comic under control. It sort of ran away on me last month....

Anyway! As for Chastity Quest, I suppose I should at least mention that I have started work on the build for this month. I've got the first 10 scenes captured, with video editing for them planned to be today's task. I'll have a better estimate for the total number of scenes this month is likely to see, once I get done with the first batch in a 2-3 days....
