Progress Report - Various (Patreon)

Ugggghhh. So, time for a progress report. The 'ugggghhh' is because I'm behind where I want to be. I've been fighting with the modded copy of Skyrim again. I just do not understand what sort of dark witchcraft fuckery this thing's engine is running on. I literally did not once run Skyrim between December 30th, 2020, and February 4th, 2021. I did not open the game. I did not touch the game's files. I did not in any fashion update anything that would effect the Skyrim installation. Not even new drivers. 

Yet, for some reason, when I went to actually use the game for asset acquisition, IT WAS BROKEN AGAIN. In yet more NEW AND INSANE WAYS. I spent over 7 and a half hours yesterday alone working out bugs. The most insane of which was related to the cute little goblin character (a custom character made by me) featured in the images. For some god awful reason, I had to spend 2+ hours making sure her left arm didn't load tiny(as seen in the second image of her). I still have no idea what the flaming fuck waffles happened to make that occur. I ended up having to remake the character 4 times, and ultimately only sort of solved the issue. This is the kind of bullshit that makes me regret ever having decided to use modded Skyrim for assets, even if it was the only practical option back when I started Chastity Quest. Ugh.

Anyway, this means I'm roughly a day, maybe a day and a half, behind where I wanted to be. I've got captures of the College itself and have created/placed the four major characters of the College. Those are the ones that I'll be focusing on this build, with minor characters to be done in Build 13. The captures attached to the post are mostly accurate, though I think the girl with the scythe is doing to get a new clothing set. What she has now works, but doesn't quite pop enough, I think.

I'd hoped to already have the first 8 scenes recorded as well...but that's now slipped from yesterday to today. Hopefully the worst of the problems are over and I can get all of those done today. Either way, that's where Chastity Quest is right now. I'll have a better idea about it's timeline by the next Progress Report in a few days.

--------Wallpapers------

This is another thing that's been going a bit slow. Though not as much so as Chastity Quest. I think I'm just about done with the SFW wallpaper, just needing to do some post work on it. I'm less happy with it than the previous two, but it's still good. It's just not quite as dynamic as I'd been shooting for, despite nearly a dozen re-renders. I am super proud of one of the poses I managed almost from scratch though. And the end result is solid and can hopefully be made even better with some post work. As for the NSFW Wallpaper, that one hasn't been started yet. I'm hoping to get that running its first test render tonight.

--------Comic--------

This is the one thing that actually has been going mostly to plan. I'm about halfway through the renders. Maybe a touch less. I did run into a bit of a speed bump in that one of the assets I really wanted to use is IRAY only, forcing me to slow down and use IRAY to render anything with that asset. I've been using 3Delight instead, for comic renders, which is faster but less photo-real in quality. Still, while this has meant that renders have slowed down a lot for one specific section of the comic, I'm mostly on target time-wise regardless. There's a reason for that...but it's a secret, sort of. :-p.

------Short Stories-----

Because of the fuckery with Chastity Quest sucking up time, I haven't actually gotten any writing done, though I've managed to spare some time for brainstorming/outlining of the new Andrea of the Silver key story. This story wasn't originally made as a multi-part, so I don't have an overarching outline like I often do. As such, the brainstorming time is a good place to start. Hopefully, if I can get Chastity Quest back on track over the next couple of days, I'll be able to sit down and start hammering out the actual story soonish.
