I've never picked up an Archie comic in my life, and the fact that I could still name and describe all the main characters (especially these two) is a testament to how popular and enduring the brand is to this day. 

There's a new TV show out based on Archie called Riverdale, and I may end up watching it for research. See I have a comic coming up starring a bunch of high school age characters, and I personally have no idea what modern high school life is like and how it differs from when I was there. So what am I supposed to do?  Start skulking around high schools with a camera?  Not ideal.  I doubt the police would buy my "research" excuse as they were dragging me away. And my argument would grow flimsier if they pressed me and discovered it was research for a porn comic.

But back to Riverdale.  Online I've heard fans lamenting the idea of a dark and gritty murder mystery spin on their beloved characters, but as a newcomer that doesn't bother me.  If you guys have seen the show let me know what you think and I hope you like the pic. :)
