So guess who just started playing Hades on Steam this weekend? Hooly crap it's been awhile since a new game hooked me quite this hard. The game was best summed up on Discord as a cross between Diablo and Persona, meaning it's a dungeon crawler with some relationship management elements. 

The whole thing is naturally set in Greek mythology, so all your favorite Olympians are represented. Medusa appears as a shy clumsy anime girl archetype, who happens to be a floating head who is also a maid. I love her so much that part of me wishes they'd taken more crazy liberties with the familiar figures, but what we get are stylish yet fairly standard takes on the old gods. (Zeus is arrogant, Hermes talks fast, Aphrodite is thirsty, etc.)

Not that I'm complaining, the writing is great and all the characters are fun to encounter. But for today's pin up I had to pick a favorite, and I went with Megaera here. Represented as one of the three furies of Hades, (as opposed to the Disney Herculean love interest most people probably know her as) this chick haaates your guts. And voice actress Avalon Penrose captures that sneering contempt so well that I found it fun just to listen to her talk. 

I could go on, but I think I can summarize by saying this game gets a thumbs up from Reinbach. Even the wikipedia page is pretty bare bones on the details there. It just says "She was one of the three furies, she was the jealous one.....mmyep."
