Jessica (Patreon)

This is technically this month's sketch for Mystery Street, and if you think this looks quite a bit more detailed than usual for sketches, you're right. There's a bit of a story there. 

This began as a Monday pin up idea back when the latest Dragon Quest game launched. (I went with Jessica because DQ8 was the last one I played.) I got this pic about halfway done, but at the time I just couldn't get her hands and face to look right. The deadline is pretty tight for me on Mondays, and on some occasions if I find myself stuck it's actually faster to start over with a whole new pose than to just keep struggling with the first one all day.

Anyhow since Mystery is a Dragon Quest fan I showed him the progress I'd made on Jessica here. And he suggested that instead of doing his sketch this month, I just finish what I had on Jessica.  I was glad for the chance to not leave this one hanging, I think it came out pretty well.
