Longtime supporters are no doubt aware of how much I love the "innocent teen amazed at how much cum is on her" idea for these pin ups. I'm sure this particular fetish of mine will be worth discussing with a therapist someday, but in the meantime I tried to balance the well-worn concept by shaking things up cosmetically.

I wanted to try drawing a robot girl this week, and Jenny Wakeman, with her boomerang pigtails and bendy tube-like arms, sounded like a fun challenge. She's from a cartoon that aired in 2008 called My Life as a Teenage Robot, a show that can be summarized in one sentence: It was Mega Man for girls. 

Though that's being a bit unfair to the show, it was certainly more nuanced than that. But for me the similarities weren't exactly subtle. Jenny even had a blue color scheme for crying out loud. But being a touch derivative didn't make the show bad, quite the contrary. I remember thinking it was pretty funny and clever compared to its contemporaries at the time.  I found Jenny herself to be likable as hell, with a great mix of no-nonsense heroics and total girly-girl antics balanced expertly. I rarely hear anyone talk about this show, and that's probably for the best honestly. Judging by the recent track record of cartoon reboots I think this series is best left alone.
