Happy New Years Day Everybody!

So I put these two, Korra and Asami, against each other in a poll. And as of when I started work on this, they were tied perfectly in votes. I don't usually draw both characters in a poll, (kind of defeats the purpose of voting if you ask me) but figured I'd make an exception since these two are  a canonical couple in the show, and there was clearly interest around here in seeing me draw them together.

So as far as pop culture is concerned, pretty much everyone loved Avatar: The Last Airbender. Its popularity so universal that those who didn't like the show existed only in fearful myth, in stories told to children to keep them in line. So in retrospect, it's quite clear to me that its sequel series, The Legend of Korra, never had a prayer of living up to its predecessor in the eyes of fans. Korra's audience reaction was so mixed that it barely made it to the finish line, with Nickelodeon pulling funding at the eleventh hour to the point where one of the final episodes was a clip show for crying out loud.

Overall I'm in the camp that liked the series, though it had its pros and cons to be sure. I found Korra herself to be bratty and unsympathetic at times, but she always managed to come around eventually. Plus the show remains, to my eyes anyway, one of the most gorgeous cartoons ever made outside of Japan. Also Zelda Williams probably has about the sexiest voice ever. Just sayin.'

I honestly, and completely unapologetically, preferred LoK by the end of the series.

I was in the boat that found the first season decent, the second one garbage, the third one AMAZING, and the fourth one pretty good. It was OK in the end, but couldn't touch the first one. WAY too many missteps (Korra was depicted as a giant moron for way too long; deliberately attempting "shipping" with Korra was a disaster on almost every level, and they miswrote it all, kind of just randomly deciding that the only person in the show she had any chemistry at all with was her "meant to be"). But lesbianism- yay! "Lipstick"-themed stuff isn't my thing, but Korra's got delightful boobs. Is it weird that I feel cheated at only seeing one of Asami's eyes? Because she's got the most outstanding pair in animation history and I was excited at the idea of seeing your skillful eye depictions on her, lol.

Reinbach

I worried that Asami did get the short end on this pic. Lesbian shots are tricky compositions for me, as one of the girls inevitably has to be more dominant than the other for the piece to work. And even then I can end up with a lot of negative space like I did here.

Reinbach

And I don't just mean the implied lesbianism at the VERY end. Overall I think season four had the best villain and pacing.

ScuzzBucket

Yeah, it can be tricky. In a "fingering" pic, one girl is almost on top of the other, which obscures her body. In a "strap-on" one, the other girl is bent over in doggy style. Only way to REALLY show all of everyone is the old "cowgirl" standby. Almost any other position obscures one's body.

ScuzzBucket

Kuvira was pretty bad-ass. But Henry Rollins as Zahir was EPIC. Dude was frighteningly competent and proof that you could be "Chaotic Evil" without being a complete loon.

FoolyMagooly

In general I think the show had batter villains. They all has a different perspective on the world around them, different motivations, different goals and they sought their ends through different means. It made them interesting. That and I liked the world a little better, it had a bit of a noir feel to it at times.

I really like what you've done here, these two are made for each other and the kiss marks on her body showing her path to her ultimate goal her nipple is a very nice touch!

Great show, great couple, great vote, but something looks off about Korra to me. Her hair's too light brown, I think.

Reinbach

Thanks! I just did some oral sex with Casey and Bria recently so wanted to switch to boob-focus for this one.

Reinbach

You might be right, sometimes I get carried away with lighting.

Angelo

Mako was such an idiot for letting Asami get away

Reinbach

I feel bad for him lol, I imagine a guy in that kind of situation couldn't help but feel like he was such a bad boyfriend that he turned not one, but TWO women into lesbians. XD

Angelo

I don't feel bad for him at all. Asami was all over him when Korra left and lost her memory and shit. Then he went and fucked it up. I kinda wanted Bolin to get with Asami

WarSapphire

Love the image of Korra and Asami together like this and the focus on Korra's breasts, thanks to all the lipstick kiss marks left by Asami. Question, isn't Korra's hair a little darker? When I first head that they were going to continue the Avatar series with the LoK, I was pretty interested and thought it would be like Kim Possible meets Avatar. Sadly it wasn't and I just couldn't really get into the show.

David

¡YES! Korrasami is one of my favorite couples in animation. I really liked LoK, but i have to say that the second season was the worst. I really liked how they evolved into a couple, and, to be honest, it felt more real than when they were witch Mako. Still, there are thing that i dislike about it, like the fact that Mako was written to be a douche even thoug in the first season he wasn't. On that note, i really liked how by the end of Book 4 he was able to redeem himself. Righ now i'm interested on reading Turf Wars, i've read a lot of good things about it. OH, i almost forgot... HOT AS FUCK.

Reinbach

Yeah I'm afraid i put too much light on her hair and lost some of the original color. And I hear you about the show, it certainly wasn't for everyone.

Reinbach

Thanks! And yeah i have to admit I'm curious about the comics myself. Be interesting to see where they'd go next.

ScuzzBucket

Yeah, Season Two was so awful I was sure the show was finished. That they had three characters IN THE SAME SEASON named Tarlaq, Unalaq and Tonraq was absolutely insane and should be done by no writer, ever- never mind the fact that they all interacted with each other, and wore THE SAME COLOR SCHEMES :). But then Season Three came along, and was like "holy SHIT- these dudes are something else". Giantess Combustion-Bender (hell yes), stoic Evil Death Monk, Armless Water Azula, and Lava-Bender was an AMAZING villain army.

David

I KNOW! Season 2 was pretty boring to watch. As you mention, everything was the same, and those characters were just like NPCs, just look at the twins. The did nothing in the whole season. Season 3 was just a BLAST (pun intended). The way the earth bending was expanded was so cool, and P'Li, the combustion bender, was also great. I still how she died in the final battle, kinda gruesome, with the blown head off. Best season of ToK.

ScuzzBucket

Yeah, it was rad. Plus, Suyin was a TOTAL MILF. Even though I hated the whole "I hate you since you were a bitch when we were kids and you scarred me!" "Yeah, but I came to terms with this with mom off-camera and so should you!" thing. But still... MILF.
