So what Ilyas said is basically a main through line in the series. It applies to both our real life world and this fictional apocalyptic one. There are no rules, no one way of doing something. Question each decision and make it with intention. What has everyone jaded is when someone like The Governor or Negan think their outdated ideals need to be applied to everything and everyone.
