Apparently both the director cut's are going to be very different movies from the pg 13 one's released right now. I think it would be confusing for you guys if you only did it for part 2. I would also like to apologise if i am disturbing you on Christmas day but just wanted to give context.

No apology necessary! We've committed to the first one, which has been promoted since the end of November. Changing course now might upset some, so we'll stick with part 1 and are likely to proceed with part 2 of the director's cut.

True but for this situation it's very very different because Netflix wanted their own "Snyder cut" before even shooting the movies so they could double dip and get views for both the pg 13 versions and the director's cut for the same amount of money and they are actually succeeding with it but the pg 13 version really suffers. I was watching it and there literally new characters popping in and out of the movie and it moves so fast you don't even get to know anything about them.

I had such high hopes for rebel moon after justice league. I wish you guys did a pole before committing. There is so much higher quality movies out there that deserves your attention then hours of editing.

Hey folks, reconsider checking out the director's cut of Rebel Moon that will be released after part 2. Netflix struck a deal with Snyder requesting that both part 1 and part 2 be 2 hours PG-13, as per their metrics showing it performs better on the platform. In return, they allowed him to film all the content needed for a director's cut of both parts. So, he's already editing this director's cut from the get-go. Netflix paid for one movie because Snyder shot them back to back, and in return, they got four movies—pretty clever move by Netflix. These director's cuts will be rated R, so please consider watching them as soon as they drop. It's going to be incredible; part 1 director's cut will be 3 hours and 30 minutes, and part 2 will be around the same.
