Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol catapults the iconic franchise to new heights, offering a heart-pounding blend of espionage, jaw-dropping stunts, and charismatic performances. This installment not only revitalizes the series but also solidifies its position as a powerhouse in the action genre.

Tom Cruise is back as Ethan Hunt, leading a team that includes the tech-savvy Benji (Simon Pegg), the experienced Luther (Ving Rhames), and the enigmatic Jane (Paula Patton). The film begins with a bang, thrusting the IMF team into a mission gone awry at the Kremlin, setting off a chain of events that forces them to operate as rogue agents. The plot's strength lies in its simplicity and relentless pacing. The team races against time to prevent a global catastrophe orchestrated by a rogue nuclear extremist, Hendricks (played with chilling conviction by Michael Nyqvist). The stakes are high, and the script kept us engaged with a perfect balance of suspense, humor, and character development.

What sets Ghost Protocol apart is its commitment to practical effects and breathtaking stunt work. Cruise, known for performing his own stunts, scales the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building, in a vertigo-inducing sequence that stands as one of the most iconic moments in the franchise.

The supporting cast is stellar, with each member contributing to the film's success. Simon Pegg injects humor into the tense situations, while Jeremy Renner adds depth to the team dynamics. Paula Patton brings both physical prowess and emotional weight to her role, creating a well-rounded ensemble. The film's globe-trotting locations, from the futuristic landscapes of Dubai to the bustling markets of Mumbai, provide a visually dynamic backdrop for high-stakes espionage. The musical score by Michael Giacchino complements the on-screen action, adding to the film's intensity.

This was damn good! Bring on MI 5.

I love Brad Bird so much and met him once when I was in college for animation, he started as an animator at Disney in his career and even helped develop the animation style of The Simpsons before directing his first feature, The Iron Giant. He's one of the main creatives at Pixar and directed Ratatouille and the two Incredibles movies. This movie was his first live action film!

Please watch Sawariya (2009) next it's Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film, he's is known for grandiose aesthetics and on the beat & rhythm to every action with the actors in his films and it's the debut film of Ranbir Kapoor whom you will fall in love as you will see more of his work & Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. He shines in his lead role as a Gigless Musician who falls in love with a girl from a different religion. This Film is very pleasing to watch with some great songs that are becoming evergreen classics and this does have some dark undertones so beware. Also, watch Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013); I requested this film a while ago but this is a fan-favorite for all Ranbir Kapoor Fans with a great story that celebrates life, friendships, reunions, New Beginnings, and especially LOVE. This modern-day Rom-com will win your heart and teach you some important life lessons that you can come back to learn again and again. Also, this can count as a Happy New Year film, so do watch this with all 4 badd medicine crew in December.

So originally, Tom was going to leave the series and Jeremy Renner was set to be his replacement. I love JR but the series just isn't MI without Tom. Jeremy is the perfect additional character, I think he would have been too Hawkeye as the main in this series. I believe Ethan was supposed to die at the end but at some point during filming, Tom decided he wanted to keep doing the series, thankfully! As for the building climb, Tom actually did it. There is a behind the scenes video showing how they did it. They had to get permission and went to I think the 80th floor (could have been higher) because it was under construction at that time and he was really suspended outside the building and doing his own stunts.

Interesting. Never heard that about Tom. Would've been crazy to think that would've been the end.

I thought Oak was going to pass out holding his breath on the tower lol. Like I said in the last one, Toms willingness to let his character be afraid, fail, and get the shit kicked out of him makes these movies so much more enjoyable. "No shit!" And then bouncing off the glass is one of my favorite sequences in a movie ever. Also, remember that Tom cruise is certified member of the stunt workers guild, so hes doing everything, driving jumping, swinging 30 feet out 1000 feet up on building. All him. Incredible

“Okay, what did Tom Cruise actually climb to get this shot…?” The Burj F*cking Khalifa 😎

Can’t wait for Fallout! I’m a little late to this reaction, but t-minus 6 days!

He cllmbed the building but he was on a cable. there's a lot of great photos of it online. And yes sandstorms of that magnitude does happen there, we call them haboobs. I served in the middle east and I grew up in Arizona, we get them there in the summers during monsoon season too.
