Let us all not forget that Korra is still 17 and is going to act like a teenager. Shes also still not even a year out from living her entire life excluded from any type of society and her social skill probably werent a top priority during here avatar training in the south pole

Some interesting tidbits on S2. They switched animation studios from Studio Mir to Studio Pierrot for the first part of this season since the previous studio was over worked. They go back to Studio Mir part of the way through S1. You may notice the animation quality isn't as good as S1 which is part of the reason they went back. The "mover" Varick showed is based off Muybridge's Horse in Motion which was the catalyst in the development of motion pictures. Kya was supposed to be Katara's name in ATLA but given to her mother and now her daughter.

Naw, I think this is another case where chaotic or rushed production made for poor writing choices, in how the writers chose to backpedal. Some character decisions don't make sense in light of the events of S1.

To clarify a little, they go back to Mir for 2 episodes, then back to Pierrot for one episode, then back again to Mir for the rest of the show

I kind of watched this franchise all out of order: I watched the live action movie first before I knew anything about avatar or that it even had an animation and enjoyed the movie bc I had nothing to base it on lol, then I watched the legend of Korra and LOVED it, finally I watched The Last Airbender and dots finally connected 😂 all this to say, I love Korra more than I love TLA and Idky so many people nitpick on Korra

They are both great in their own ways. IMO, TLA just been more involved in most viewers' childhood and the nostalgic effect just overwhelms objective reasoning. Did you check out the comics after LOK?

a lot of people say this season is the weakest but its actually my favorite! Starts off a little slow but the story is beautiful
