POLL WINNER is here....

Reese Witherspoon as the effervescent Elle Woods, the film serves up a mix of vibrant humor, unexpected depth, and a powerful message about staying true to oneself. Elle, initially seen as the quintessential sorority girl immersed in fashion and all things pink, faces an unexpected breakup that prompts her to embark on a transformational journey. Her quest to prove herself as more than just a stereotype leads her to the prestigious Harvard Law School, defying all expectations.

The supporting cast shines as well. Luke Wilson's portrayal of Emmett, a fellow law student who recognizes Elle's potential, adds a genuine touch of romance to the story. Similarly, Jennifer Coolidge delivers scene-stealing comedic moments as Elle's quirky manicurist friend, Paulette.

Legally Blonde's lively atmosphere is complemented by a vibrant soundtrack and visually stunning aesthetics that mirror Elle's vibrant personality. The film ingeniously employs fashion as a visual metaphor for Elle's evolution, creating a multifaceted journey of personal growth.

While the film does engage in some light-hearted stereotypes for comedic effect, it's heartwarming celebration of individuality, sending a resounding message that pursuing one's dreams while embracing authenticity is a triumphant endeavor.

This was a good surprise. On to Legally Blonde 2.

The Ol Bend and Snap lol. Though not in my genres of movies that I prefer, this is still one of my favorites, I rewatch it quiet often along with the second one. Linda was also Velma in the Live-Action Scooby Doo(That came out around the same time-ish) and Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed movies, which if ya'll haven't seen, definitely should go on the list of future watches, has Freddie Prinze Jr as Fred, Sarah Michelle Geller as Daphne, Linda as Velma, and Matthew Lilliard as Shaggy. They're one of the best LA-adaption movies, absolutely. Anyways, can't wait for Legally Blonde 2!

Elle is extremely smart. She got a 179 on the LSATS and the highest you can get Is a 180! Also had a 4.0. It really is a don’t judge a book by it’s cover kind of movie, love it! I’ve gotta hand it to Reese she did such a great Job! she really advocated for a lot of changes made to the movie that made it so much better. This movie is such a classic and really holds up. People love it so much because it’s not your typical plot. Even the ending was going to look a lot different with them ending up kissing. But instead they changed it to her giving a graduation speech. I really like that change as that’s not what the movie was about and it’s totally unexpected but refreshing.

It was a good watch along with you guys. I didn't much enjoy this movie this time around as compared to when I watched this when it came out. Many jokes aren't as appropriate today as they were back then, especially the fatphobic ones. Still cute though, and I loved your comments :) You should react to Never been kissed with Drew Barrymore.

This movie was hilarious. Loved it back when it came out and still enjoy it now.

So much fun to watch this with you! I was thrilled when I saw it was coming this week. I’ve seen the movie so many times and it’s great to see others introduced to it. True to the message, the movie is never what people expect. In addition to expecting Elle to be dumb, I’ve seen other reactors expect her to be mean and conceited. I guess that’s a stereotype we’ve been taught about sorority girls. I love that she’s so nice to everyone. She isn’t even suspicious of Vivian when she comes to Elle’s room. Even though everyone is treating her badly and underestimating her, she doesn’t do the same in return. And she doesn’t stereotype them the way they do to her. I’m so glad you enjoyed this. It was a great watch along!

I dunno why, but this makes my so hype for you to react to Barbie. love how you're able to relate to Elle, and I love that she's a great role model

Bri

Yes! I'm super excited to watch them see Barbie!

I think it's good to bring up the lawyer who tried to make a move on Elle, to ''offer'' her a prestigious place (as if she couldn't get there by herself). It slightly touches on harassment and misogyny in men dominated areas/jobs/positions. And it wasn't only Elle who experienced it, but also Vivian, who was always sent to get the coffee when Callahan asked for it (even though she was just as much an intern student as the men from her class). It's brought up very subtly in the movie but it's something that constantly happens in real life, still to this day.

Elle said she rather represent someone who is innocent in the beginning of the movie which is funny because that's what she does later on in the movie.
