Arcane 1X5 FULL REACTION

Fun fact of the day. Imagine dragons are huge fans of the game. and have been working with the developers for years. They even claim they were late to a show one time because they were playing...Could be true who knows XD also 0 motion capture the entire show. Remember it took 6 years

Brittany v D

To answer the question about mocap - they did not use mocap for this show! It's amazing

MJ Eid

Also the arcane specific music video for enemy is fine. it was released pre show release as a promotional video for the show. Its the other league videos and music videos i would avoid. I also tell people to watch the music video before the final act. It adds some insight but no spoilers.

Another great reaction! To answer the question about Motion Capture there was none. People may recommend the full docuseries but I think Oak along with a few others would love 30ish minute episode dedicated to how the series was animated. Goes into the details on how Fortiche, the animation studio, was able to craft the show. https://youtu.be/Qd1rOtu4SMI

Lirryk

don't know if anyone posted it already but there is a documentary about how this was made...but watch it AFTER u finished the whole show EDIT: Joshua did faster than me ^^

Mandy Hu

no mocap! they basically just relied on live-action references

Kaitlyn Twix

Already counting down the days till next Monday! Love these reactions!

I always tell people becareful using a reaction to it though because a lot of people get copyright striked by it. Even in EP 5 reactions if you include the music bit people get copyright striked

Ivan Rasmussen

Avatar had some incredible fights with the hand-drawn animation but this show has some of the best action from computer animation I've ever seen. It's fantastic. So glad you're enjoying it!

MJ Eid

There are hundreds of full reactions to the music video I’d be surprised how many actually go copyright strike for the music video

Conor Moriarty

cant wait till you guys get to ep 8. has one of the best fights of the series. LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOO

Miss_CJ

They should react to the whole playlist tbh. 5 episodes on the making of Arcane https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbAFXJC0J5GYEkfxnGTWnvgcEypgBeAb5

Buğrahan Bilaloğlu

You guys shouldn't watch the music video now but watching it BEFORE episode 7 will definitely enhance your viewing experience on episode 7. So please try reacting to Imagine Dragons x J.I.D - Enemy music video BEFORE you guys see episode 7

Anonymous

I was just about to suggest this also, after finishing the series, it would be really great if they would watch all the craziness behind Arcane.

Cyan

Do not watch the music video before ep 7 like the above comment says to. It does contain some small spoilers for 7, 8 & 9

TinCan Cosmanaut

Highlights are always the end of every story arc, so Ep 3,6,9. Like the conclusion to a movie

Anna

I don't think this show views Enforcers as "the good guys"

MJ Eid

False. It’s no more of a spoiler than the opening credits. And only serves to enhance the viewing experience.

Void Weaver

It may be the same gun just with the ability to breach load to fire a shot with out using the ammo that is loaded in the gun since it may take a bit load. Like in the the beginning when she was shooting she was able to make multiple shots in a row fast, while when she could take her time she used the breach loader.

Melbell

Yeah, I agree the enemy video isn't really a spoiler not like another music video about a certain character that I won't write the title of, and I agree it may help enhance the viewing experience.

Joshua Sheffer

There's a 5 part documentary of the story of this series that I really think y'all should watch after you finish the season. It's awesome and amazing the story behind this show and you get a ton of your questions answered directly from the folks that made the show. You'll definitely enjoy watching it. It'll be 5 more react videos though because each episode is 30-40 minutes long.

toolittletoolate

I agree with about watching the making of doc if you're interested, it's really good. Fortiche as a studio is really adamant about their vision and style though - there is definitely no mo-cap.

Javier Padilla

From all the behind the scenes i've seen they never mention mocap (motion capture) for the animation. They say that what really make the action so great is a rithm and weight. Fortiche is orignally a music video animation studio, so they know all about synchronizing action with beat. Weight is more tricky, when you animate in a 3d progmam there is no gravity to it so you need to have good perception of how weight is distributed in the body and space (i gon't get too much into it, but is one of the 12 rules of animation) also a great usage of camara movements and vfx make the fight scenes more impressive.

Javier Padilla

Caitlyn's nickname "Cupcake" is a reference to the video game. One of Cait's in-game abilities is placing a bear trap with a cupcake as bait.

Cyan

The spoiler you all seemed to miss in that video: Jinx's glowing pink/purple shimmer eyes. Like I said, its a small spoiler but these guys are perceptive enough to pick up on it. Also the MV doesn't 'enhance' ep 7 all that much. We already know they were childhood friends. What DOES enhance it is knowing that Ekko had feelings for Powder when they were kids, but that's a bit of lore everyone always comments and is not evident outside of subtext in the show and MV.
