An interesting start to Midnight Mass. Good to see some familiar faces in here. Wasn't sure we would. The open gets you in and from there they did a good job on setting the plate for us. The setting on an island is a good dynamic here. Very isolated. Interesting end there with all the cats and that storm. Riley now has purpose so this will be fun to see how the next 6 episodes turn out.

Are y’all gonna start The Boys soon? Season 4 is coming up

Hell yeahhhh, love this show. Some of the best build up in a show i've ever seen. and yes, more spectacular, slightly too long, monologues to come.

Stephanie Bedworth

I think you guys will end up really enjoying it. It's very different from Hill House and Bly but it's very good. A slow build but just hang in there. It's worth it and it's actually my favorite of the three Netflix Flanagan miniseries.

I honestly think this will be your favorite. And if any of you grew up in catholic or even religious households it's going to lead to some interesting discussions. No spoilers or leading crew, let's keep them unspoiled!

Dustee Lodholtz

I really enjoyed this limited series, and I can't wait for you to learn more! Also again I'm gonna suggest The Midnight Club after this, Mike Flanagan created this one as well alongside Leah Fong

Stephanie

This is the series I was waiting for and I hate that I have to wait til next week for the next episode. 😅 I would love to watch all the episodes in a row.😉

Veronica

I'm so excited. Ya'll are in for a ride!

Sohail Jafar

Now this series is a must see! Glad youse are reacting to it

Drew

This show isn’t what you’d call fast paced but every scene is purposeful and some of the most engaging and beautiful scenes are just 1 on 1 conversations. And when the story gets moving it REALLY gets moving 🙌🏻❤️

Can't wait to see what y'all make of this one!! Flanagan is some kind of evil genius, I swear, he's ones hell of a storyteller. Keeping those stories fresh and not shying away from subject matter that makes for great thought and water cooler talk after watching. Hill House is def my favorite of his (so far), but this one was a very close 2nd! Hope y'all enjoy what's left to come! It gets pretty damn gnarly lol🤘🏻

I'm so excited for this! Between Hill House, Bly, and Midnight Mass, this is definitely the one that made me feel the most at the end. It packs such an emotional punch in the best way, and I hope you guys love it!

Jen Garcia

This one is my favorite of all the Flanagan-verse. Hill House might have most scares for me but Midnight Mass just packs and unpacks so much more! Let each purposeful scene and framing take you in

The character that you said doesnt seem very likeable, is the wife on Hill House who left Steven over the vasectomy.. I hope you can avoid spoilers, as this is kind of a slow burn but very much worth it.

I haven't seen this show for years but man was it something else! Certainly rather slow but there are so many other things about it to enjoy. Time to turn on Netflix and joined you guys for the journey. Enjoy!

Can't believe you were so busy discussing the old tv that you missed the chest answering Father Pauls knocking :D This is a series that stands completely on it's own and is not part of the Haunting Anthology, and doesn't work as they do- while they are similiar cause a lot of this is Flanagans style, this series doesn't utilize hidden ghosts, so don't waste time focussing on backgrounds and instead focus on the dialogues. Also a bit of background info: Mike Flanagan grew up in a very religious community similiar to Crockett, and was an altar boy himself. He's also dealt with alcoholism for a long time and is now sober, but what Riley did at the beginning was one of the biggest fears he always had about his drinking problem; accidentally killing someone. He's been trying to make Midnight Mass for years, and it was a really personal story for him, if Hill House hadn't been as popular, he wouldn't have been able to make this!

Yes! You did midnight mass!! I loved this show. It’s so creepy and the music made it so much more creepy haha can’t wait to watch you guys react to this. My dad told me about this show and I binged it in one Saturday lol. It gets really good, you have to keep watching it.

It was so good. The soundtrack, dialog and cinematography pulled me in.

Haughtbreaker Nic

The "sister" Bev played Leah in Hill House, steve's wife. One cameo no one notices is that the voice of the judge in the beginning was the mom from Hill House

man. i was just about to comment this. I like the jokes and all but they really have to tone it down. They will miss details.

Michael Riley

Wish we were getting back to back episodes 😂 Can't wait to watch next week!

Adrianna Marie Aka AD

I've definitely contemplating moving to an island somewhere lol

Bri

Ooo this just reminded how in his movie Hush (2016), the woman is holding a book called Midnight Mass. I watched that again after this and was like 🤯

Ginster

She’s not just holding it- she’s writing it, and it’s the same actress that plays Erin here, and she’s talking to Bev‘s actress on how she should end the story! The book also shows up in Gerald‘s Game. Midnight Mass is Flanagans Magnum Opus in the sense that he has been carrying this story for years, trying to bring it to life.
