DUNE 2 trailer reaction

Comments

Samuel Bruce

Between this and Oppenheimer, by far the best movies to look forward to this year.

Sarah.the.clumsy

Stellan skarsgard is the father of all the skarsgard brothers. He's the the guy who rides around floating in the air in part1. He also plays Will turners father Bootstrap Bill in Pirates of the caribbean.

Adrian Swales

Look into renting out a theater for a showing and do a reaction from there. That could be interesting.

Not to worry, by the time Badd Medicine reacts to "Dune - Part 2", you will have surround sound speakers front and behind !! Christopher Walken will play an essential and fun-to-watch role !! Interesting Badd Medicine speculations about water - I will say no more !! Everything I've seen - Part 1, the Part 2 trailer, knowing the story events to come - tells me that "Part 2" will be epic beyond imagining - at least 100000 times more epic than anything shown so far !! So excited that Badd Medicine will react to it for the channel, when it comes out for streaming !! Badd Medicine minds will be blown, no doubt !! Lets go !! 🪱🪱🪱🪱

Not gonna throw out any spoilers. I'll say this though: I'm perfectly fine with you guys going to watch this in theaters and then watching it again for the channel. I don't mind being a part of a second time watch, or a review watch, or whatever ya'll want to call it. Ya'll can even talk about the thoughts you had during the movie, like "when I saw this I thought for sure he was going to be killed" etc. Or maybe flip a coin on camera and do what the coin says lol. If you guys DO go and watch it in the theaters, I'd emphasize enhanced audio systems over IMAX. I went to see it in both and IMAX just isn't that impressive compared to floor and chair rumbling surround sound. For Oak, yes I've had ice cream while in a theater. Usually gelato or Dips. It's pretty great.

Badd Medicine

We've seen Cassie (popcorn in bed) do that too. We have a contact here at the theater. Maybe we'll see what we can do 🤙

Ginger

I agree with Oak’s brother that you should watch the 1984 version. 😎 I have also had ice cream at a movie theater.

Brandi Torres

I will donate to the cost, heck I will pay for the rental, for you to rent this at its earliest so you can do the reaction, and still be able to go and watch in theaters because this is made 100% for IMAX. I appreciate your dedication to us, so I feel I need to return the favor! Then you could post the reaction at a later date? Never done a reaction, so not sure how all of this works. Plus I occasionally get milkshakes at the theater, it's whatever you are in the mood for. No rules just enjoyment!

The first Dune book was published in 1965, and is notoriously responsible for influencing so many sci fi works, specifically Star Wars. It’s considered a sci fi masterpiece. When the third Dune book, “Children of Dune,” was released, it became the top-selling science fiction hardback EVER up until that time. Gosh I wish I could go on and on about how incredible this story is. I’m so happy the Dune fandom is growing because ‘who doesn’t love a hero?’ I’m looking forward to you guys discovering it’s so much more than the average “hero’s journey.” You are in for LOTS of surprises with “Dune: Part 2.”

Phillip Grischa

Agreed, it's a phenomenal story, I like all the Dune books by Frank Herbert. My favorite is "God Emperor of Dune" and I hope Denis Villeneuve makes a movie out of it as well. I know he has expressed interest in doing Dune Messiah and will most likely stop there but I would love to see the other books adapted as well.

Steven K

So i take it the books are worth checking out lol? Does Part 1 cover just book 1 and Part 2 is book 2 or do they cover more than the first two books?

Stephanie Sanderson

Dune: part one and two will cover the first book, “Dune.” The first book is absolutely worth checking out, the following books are more divisive, (people Either love them or hate them.) But if you love the world of Dune, you may even enjoy all 6 books.

Marquis keel

Just saw Guardians 3 and I cant wait for you guys to see it Oak is gonna be pissed at the villian if he was mad at buckbeak apparent death hes gonna be livid🫡

Phillip Grischa

Just for the record, the Frank Herbert books in order are: Dune (adapted into Dune Part 1 and Part 2) Dune Messiah Children of Dune God Emperor of Dune Heretics of Dune Chapterhouse: Dune That's it, the various prequels and sequels written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson are complete trash.

Shane Kolaga

I don't know why but I could NEVER get into Dune. Both the original one and the new one. I just can't get invested for some reason and it makes me mad because they 100% should be up my alley! Haha at least the new movies are visually stunning so I at least have something nice to look at! Haha

Sebastien Monty

To be fair, the 84 Dune directed by David lynch is not a good adaptation of the book in my opinion, as it completely changed the context of the end therefore changing the entire theme of the novel. I have faith that this version will stay true to the novel

TheToweringOtakunt

He's also Doctor Selvig from the MCU. The older scientist who was working with Natalie Portman's character from the Thor movies. Also shows up in Avengers and so on.

Sarah.the.clumsy

That's right! I knew him from a few things, too many for me to comment. I loved him in that one.

L AH

You guys should definitely watch this movie in IMAX. The first one was an absolute joy to see in theaters and this one will be even more epic. As others have said, you sacrifice a lot to watch it on a smaller screen for us but you guys should definitely all watch it in theaters !!

L AH

Oh, that’s crazy … well, time to invest in a 4K TV and a huge sound system in order to build a home theater haha
