When does the YT cut come out?

Jenna

yay! episode six!!! 💚

Cherrie

Yay!! We get to enjoy it on a weekend! This is a great time slot for this show. 😊🥰

Badd Medicine

At least another week maybe 2. Our YT Cuts will remain with 4 per reaction. We are still editing those along with a few other items. We have a lot in the pipeline currently. But we do want to get ahead here with full reactions. This way for the YT Cuts there will be a consistent drop instead of here and there.

I know the "watch along" format is popular...but I actually like breaks and pauses while watching; especially since, if you guys want to talk in the moment about something that happened, you won't miss anything. (It's also easier to pause and resume if I'm juggling other things! :p) I realize copyright is always an ongoing issue, but with the pauses and blur...you should be good, right? Maybe?

Brandon

The Boulder... a spoof off of Dwayne "the rock" Johnson maybe? 🤔

Jeffri Boisvert

So excited that we finally hit Toph!!!

AJ

TOPH BEIFONG IS IN THE HOUSE!! Let's gooooooo!!!

Ron Banks

Fun Fact: The wrestler on episode 6, "The Boulder" is based on The Rock hence the sideburns and talking in 3rd person. The Rock was supposed to voice him originally but there was a scheduling conflict. The creators were big wrestling fans. Same here.

Gosh, I can't wait for you guys to see more of Toph! She's great! Also, I think you guys are right about Zuko; his uncle tried everything and knows Zuko has to go and learn on his own.

Maya

Wow thank you guys!! what a nice surprise

Cherrie

Great reaction! 🥰 I'm so glad you guys liked it! Two of my favorite episodes coming up; can't wait for you to see! Btw, I'm pretty sure "The Boulder" is based on "The Rock", lol. Either way it was funny. And thank you so much for the Sunday episode! I really needed that today. 😊

Miss_CJ

I mean, that's why they take notes, so they can talk about it at the end. I personally like that format better because there is no pausing. I wouldn't mind it all that much for movies that are 3 hours long (like Avatar for example) but for short episodes, I think it's better to play it and talk about it afterwards. More immersive, in my opinion :)

Love you guys! So happy you met Toph, she's the baddest!

Chancey Rae

Yes! Love the surprise drops! Toph was originally supposed to be this loud and big macho dude as opposed to the little blind girl we see here, but Bryke (Mike and Bryan) were eventually convinced by head writer Aaron Ehasz to go with this Toph and it was honestly a fantastic choice in the end! Despite the disability, Toph shows us just how capable and badass she still is and I love her for that. The Boulder was also obviously based on Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) and Bryke intended to invite him to voice the character as well, but due to scheduling conflicts that wasn't possible. So instead, we got WWE wrestler Mick Foley, also known as Mankind. Toph's earthbending is different from that of Hung Gar (which is the typical style for earthbenders in general). Her style is that of the Southern Praying Mantis, which is a close range style that focuses on the arms while keeping leg work to a minimum, using low and short range kicks. Practitioners strengthen the arms and keep them extended in order to reduce the recoil needed to gather energy for the next strike. They wanted to give her a different feel from all other earthbenders because she learned from Badgermoles, the "source" of earthbending. Also notice that you can see the 'neutral Jing' in Toph's technique. Her fighting style is largely based on counter attacks, waiting for the enemy to commit and then exploiting whatever openings they give her. Can’t wait to continue this journey with you guys, the show truly keeps getting better and better especially from here.

I guess it depends on if you've seen the episodes a few times before too. I know most of these episode pretty well, so I'm way more interested in their commentary than rewatching generally. And notes aren't quite as good as in the moment thoughts...some stuff/feeling gets left behind. Like the scene between Zuko and Iroh that Oak was clearly feeling in the moment...but ended up being a bit of a footnote at the end. :)

Thought you guys would like the WWE references haha. Toph is incredible and so glad you got to meet her. There is so much awesome stuff coming and I'm loving this journey with you guys!

Another great episode, this show was so ahead of it’s time with representation that feels respectful but not pandering. So happy to be watch you two go in this journey, and it’s clear how much the answer is enjoying you two watching it too! 😂

Grace

It’s not even despite, it’s because of. It was so great for me growing up seeing how sometimes what you think is your weakness is actually your superpower😄

Grace

also that first fact is so interesting to know thank you for sharing!

Just AnotherArtist

Thank you guys for the upload! Kind of wish Answer didn't slightly spoil in a sense that episode 6 was the episode he was waiting for 😂 I understand his excitement tho haha

Señor Spicy

3rd best episode of the series imo. best episode imo coming up soon this season :) cant wait!

Dak Man

If you thought the fight was good here just wait. Aang just give ozai a speech about friendship and the entire show ends

Culper (Lukas)

If you guys don't know, there is of course the intro that happens for every episode and right after that, there is the "Previously on Avatar". That part has the story points from previous episodes that may help better understand the episode you guys are watching. I just thought I'd bring that up.
