Hey guys! I don't have netflix (watching along with amazon prime) but its hard to do a watch-along when the audio from the show is both on the actual video and on my copy! I don't remember it being like this in the other one but maybe im misremembering? 🤔 Let me know if there's anything I can do! 😅

Ignore me!!! I just realised I can mute my copy 😅 although!! For future reference I do prefer the audio on the reaction to be muted after the syncing period but not sure how other find it!😊🤷🏽‍♀️

I think a part of why Aang was so quick to defend the Temple in Ep.17 was because he wasn't there to defend the Southern Temple when the Fire Nation attacked his home a hundred years ago. If you think about it, he did see the refugees as 'intrusive' when first meeting them, and he felt anger and sadness seeing the way the Temple was being used by them. That was all until he made a connection with the hermit making an empty shell its home, giving life to that home, that he accepted the situation.

I have to disagree with The Appleton Oak...this show has always dealt with deep and dark content...in the very second episode it showed how the airbenders all over the world were wiped out (a literal genocide) and in episode 10 they showed a whole village of orphaned children due to the war...and how it led them down a path of terrorism...It even showed child abuse in episode 12 where Zuko's dad burned his face

Such great convos at the end. I always enjoy Oak's real-world connections and analysis. Loved how the show touched upon gender discrimination and (outdated) traditions. Katara is truly a badass
